John Williams

Prior to joining the firm in 2006, John worked on behalf of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS).  Serving as Senior Director for Advocacy, Health Policy and Government Affairs and as Director of its political action committee, he was responsible for opening their Washington office and establishing their national political action committee, ENT PAC.

Prior to representing the AAO-HNS, John worked for the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers where he served as a Washington Representative.  The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers is the premier association for commercial insurance and employee benefit intermediaries in the United States and abroad.  He served as their Washington Representative.

John has significant experience in government relations, lobbying, grassroots, and strategic operations/planning.  He was responsible for a number of legislative successes throughout his career on issues such as physician payment, medical liability, patient’s bill of rights, health care provider scope of practice, bank powers, property and casualty/flood insurance, and federal funding activities.

He began his career in politics working on Capitol Hill for Congressman Chester G. Atkins (D-MA) who served the fifth district of Massachusetts from 1984 to 1992.

John is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts where he received his degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
